My Story
I fell in love with the transcendent power of dance early in life.
It was a natural pursuit to train in dance as a performing and healing art.
I have a masters degree in dance/movement therapy. To support and augment this career, I also have a masters degree in social work.
You might relate to me as a military spouse, a mother, an expatriate who has lived in Latin America, Europe, and Asia as well as my home country, the United States. Or you might relate to me as a health conscious individual, a spokesperson for living the creative life, an artist.
I’ve been teaching yoga for twenty-five years with an emphasis on health-building and energy flow. Students and clients enjoy the fluidity of movement in these classes.
It’s a joy to move with a sense of shared purpose and community.
Speaking of community, my shift to sharing poetry (rather than keeping it stored at my desk) began with participating in an online forum called “Next Line, Please”of The American Scholar journal. So much validation and growth happened here, with publication soon to follow. I encourage you to launch your creative endeavors into the world.
Release your gifts as a benefit to all.
May we dwell in inspiration…
